Privacy Policy

Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you create an account, use our services, or contact us. This includes your email address, the country you tell us you live in, policy documents, and any data contained within those documents, including financial or health information. We also collect optional profile details (name, phone number, date of birth and address), forwarded emails and attachments, support messages, account identifiers, notification tokens and records of actions you take in the app. Country is optional for existing accounts and is never used to block signup.

How we use it

We use your information to provide and improve the service: parsing policy documents, sending renewal reminders, delivering notifications, handling support requests, maintaining account security, understanding app usage and answering questions through the AI Assistant when you permit AI processing.

Data security

We follow industry-standard security practices. Your documents and personal data are encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is restricted to authorised systems.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We strive to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Email forwarding

When you forward emails to your unique Insuro address, we process the content to extract policy details. These emails are stored securely and are only accessible to you and our authorised systems.

AI processing and third-party sharing

Some features are powered by artificial intelligence: the AI Assistant, AI policy review, automatic reading of policy documents, and suggested policy details from forwarded emails. When you use one of these features, the relevant content is sent to Google Gemini via the Lovable AI gateway so a response can be generated.

What is sent: the text of the documents or emails you choose, the policy details you have stored (such as insurer, premium, dates and cover amounts), and the questions you type. We do not send your sign-in password. The document and email text you submit may itself contain personal, financial or health information.

This content is used only to produce your result. It is not used to train AI models and is not sold or shared for advertising. Lovable’s data processing agreement requires confidentiality and security safeguards and places the same data protection obligations on its subprocessors, including the AI provider. These obligations protect the personal data processed for Insuro.

AI processing is off until you allow it. We ask for your permission the first time you use an AI feature, and you can turn it off at any time under Settings → AI features. The rest of Insuro works normally if you decline.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account and all of its data at any time from Settings → Delete account, inside the app. Deletion this way is immediate and cannot be undone; it removes your policies, documents, forwarded emails, household links and messages.

If you can't use the app, you can request the same deletion — or the removal of individual records while keeping your account — by email from your account address. After deletion, any remaining copies of your information are removed or anonymised within 30 days, as described under Data retention above.

Data sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share it with service providers who help us operate the platform, subject to confidentiality agreements.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time through your account settings. You can also request a copy of your data or delete your account entirely.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. On deletion, we remove or anonymise your personal information within 30 days.

Children's privacy

Insuro is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
